Here is a collection of songs written and recorded during lockdown 2020. They vary in style slightly but I feel upon listening to them as an album that they sit together very nicely. I have structured the album to flow in a purposeful arc so if you like these songs please take the time to listen to them in this order at some point. Music has kept me sane throughout this bizarre experience. Well that and my new found love of gardening.

Hot on the heels of ‘Outside’, ‘Double Negative’ is another lockdown album. I had time on my side and things were flowing so I was making hay while the sun shone. Exploring the idea of finding the good in a bad situation. A double negative is a positive after all. :)x

I was making instrumental mixes of all my recent songs for another project and after listening to them last night I thought they were worth putting out as an album. Some work better than others instrumentally, but it's nice to hear the little details in some songs that become clear when the vocal is removed. I have simply ordered them alphabetically as without the narrative that lyrics bring it didn't seem to matter as much. You can now have your very own Aron Attwood karaoke! Ha ha. I hope you enjoy hearing the songs like this. :)x
p.s. If you were wondering 'me nā leo ʻole' is Hawaiian for 'without vocals'. I just google translated it till I found a language I liked so it would look more like an album title. ;)x
